Core Process Units & Technical Principles
1.Feed Gas Pretreatment Unit
As the foundation of the whole process, this unit mainly realizes pressurization, purification and dehydration of raw gas to supply qualified gas for subsequent fractionation and liquefaction.
Inlet Compression Unit: Adopts multi-stage centrifugal or reciprocating compressors to boost low-pressure wellhead gas to required operating pressure. Equipped with inlet separators, coolers and buffer tanks to remove free liquids and solid impurities, preventing abrasion and corrosion to downstream equipment and ensuring stable system operation.
Gas Sweetening Unit: Applies mature amine absorption process (MDEA/MEA) to deeply remove acid components such as H2S and CO2 from raw gas. Purified gas will meet H2S ≤4 ppm and CO2 ≤50 ppm, satisfying LNG product and pipeline transportation standards while avoiding corrosion to cryogenic equipment.
MEG Regeneration Skid: Uses monoethylene glycol (MEG) injection to prevent hydrate formation and blockage under low-temperature conditions. The supporting MEG regeneration unit realizes recycling of MEG through distillation and dehydration, reducing chemical consumption and ensuring continuous stable operation of the cryogenic system.
2.NGL Fractionation & Recovery Unit
This unit is the core for high-value utilization of natural gas, gradually separating light hydrocarbon components through multi-stage distillation to produce various chemical raw materials and energy products.
Deethanizer Skid: Separates ethane from purified gas under controlled pressure and temperature. High-purity ethane can be used as cracking material for ethylene or recycled. Top gas is condensed and partially refluxed, while bottom liquid is sent to depropanizer.
Depropanizer Skid: Conducts secondary distillation to separate propane, which can be sold as commercial LPG or used as refrigerant for the propane refrigeration cycle. Bottom liquid is sent to debutanizer for further separation.
Debutanizer Skid: Final distillation to separate n-butane and isobutane (high-purity LPG products). Bottom stream produces stable light hydrocarbons (C5+), applicable as gasoline blending component or chemical feedstock, realizing full recovery of heavy hydrocarbons.
3. Propane Refrigeration & LNG Liquefaction Unit
As the core cold source and liquefaction center, it adopts proven propane pre-cooling refrigeration technology to provide stable cooling capacity for natural gas liquefaction.
Propane Refrigeration Skid: Uses propane as refrigerant to form a closed refrigeration cycle through compressors, condensers, evaporators and throttle valves. It cools purified natural gas to approximately -162°C for liquefaction, reducing volume by about 625 times for easy storage and transportation. High-efficiency heat exchange and cold recovery optimize energy efficiency.
LNG Liquefaction & Storage System: After pre-cooling, natural gas is further liquefied in the main cryogenic heat exchanger to produce LNG meeting GB/T 19204-2003. Supporting LNG tanks, pumps and vaporizers realize storage, transmission and truck loading.
4. Environmental Protection & Tail Gas Treatment Unit
In response to global environmental policies, the unit ensures compliant emission and avoids pollution.
Acid Gas Incineration Unit: Performs high-temperature incineration of acid gas containing HS from the sweetening unit, converting HS into SO. With tail gas treatment (caustic washing, desulfurization), emission of SO, NOx and other pollutants meets local standards (EU 2015/2193, China GB 18484-2020), realizing clean production.
5. Utility & Auxiliary Systems

Water Supply Package: Supplies process water, domestic water and fire water with water treatment facilities.
Instrument Air Package: Provides dry and clean instrument air for pneumatic instruments and control valves.
Nitrogen Package: Supplies high-purity nitrogen for purging, replacement, sealing and inerting.
Hot Oil Package: Provides stable heat source for distillation towers and regeneration systems with high-efficiency heat recovery.
Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers: General high-efficiency heat exchange equipment applied in the whole process.
