How to distinguish between fixed pressure vessels and simple pressure vessels?

June 09, 2022

In today's society, compressed air has become the fourth most widely used energy source, second only to traditional energy such as electrical energy. Because gas Storage Tanks have the function of storing compressed air, eliminating the pulsation of airflow in the pipeline, and preliminary cooling air, the gas storage tank has become a necessary product for each company's air compressor and has been widely used in various fields of China's national production and life. Using gas tanks We must observe the rules and regulations of gas tanks, use them safely, and ensure safety. This is the wish of all those who deal with the gas tanks of air compressors. According to the safety factor of the gas storage tank, the gas storage tank is further divided into a simple pressure vessel and a fixed pressure vessel, which are mainly divided according to the following aspects:

First, the use of:

1) Simple pressure vessel: the design pressure is less than or equal to 1.6MPa, the volume is less than or equal to 1000L, the product of working pressure capacity and container is greater than or equal to 2.5MPa, and less than or equal to 1000MPa. The medium is air, nitrogen and medical distilled water Water vapor. The design temperature is greater than or equal to -20°C and the maximum operating temperature is less than or equal to 150°C. Non-direct flame welding vessel

2) Fixed pressure vessel: The maximum working pressure is greater than or equal to 0.1MPa: The product of working pressure and volume is greater than or equal to 2.5MPa. The contained medium is a gas, a liquefied gas, and a liquid whose maximum operating temperature is higher than or equal to its normal boiling point. A fixed container having a volume greater than or equal to 30 L and an inner diameter (a non-circular section refers to the largest geometric dimension of the inner boundary of the section) greater than or equal to 150 mm

Second, ontology definition:

1) Simple pressure vessel: The first threaded joint to be threaded with an external pipe or device, the first flanged sealing face of the flange, the special connecting piece or the first sealing face of the fitting; simple pressure vessel opening The pressure part of the hole and its fasteners; welded joints where no pressure element is connected to the simple pressure vessel body; safety accessories such as safety valves, bursting discs (caps), pressure gauges, water level gauges, and temperature measuring instruments;

2) Fixed pressure vessel: The groove face of the first circumferential welded joint, the first threaded joint end face of the threaded connection, the first flange sealing face of the flange connection, and the dedicated connection welded to the external pipe or device. Piece or key first sealing surface:

The pressure-receiving cover and its fasteners in the opening part of the pressure vessel are not connected to the welding seam of the pressure element and the pressure vessel.

Third, materials:

1) Simple pressure vessel: The state of supply is hot rolled or normalized killed steel, carbon content (smelting analysis) = no more than 0.25%, phosphorus and sulfur content are not more than 0.045%, standard tensile strength at room temperature The lower limit is less than 540 MPa.

2) Fixed pressure vessel: The low-alloy steel plate with the lower limit of the tensile strength specified value is less than 540 MPa in the state of supply of hot-rolled or normalized killed steel.

Fourth, manufacturing conditions:

1) Simple pressure vessel: The manufacturing unit shall have the qualification to manufacture any pressure vessel in A1, A2, C, D1 or D2. Simple pressure vessels of the same type may be produced in batches, batch time, continuous production The time shall not exceed 15 days. The number of batches shall be 1 batch for no more than 1000 units of internal diameter DI ≤ 400mm, and no more than 500 units for production of internal diameter Di ≥ 400. The same batch of cans of the same type can only produce one manufacturing process and welding process

2) Fixed pressure vessels: Special equipment manufacturing licenses shall be obtained and manufactured in accordance with the scope of approval. Each tank shall have its own independent process card and welding process.

1) Simple pressure vessel: Each batch of simple product should be drawn at least one set for ray detection. When the daily output is less than one batch, one set of ray inspection must also be conducted. Hydraulic pressure test is recommended. Air pressure testing can be used for small vessels. Pneumatic pressure testing is not recommended for bulky vessels. Pneumatic pressure testing should be used to ensure safety.

2) Fixed pressure vessels: Ray testing is required for each unit. Hydraulic tests, pneumatic tests, and gas-liquid combination pressures can be used.
