(1) Types of storage bins
A Raw ore bin The original mine bin is a mine bin that stores ore that has been transported by the mine and has not been processed by the concentrator. The original ore warehouse for the completion of loading and unloading operations is called the ore mine receiving bin; in order to adjust the imbalance between mining, transportation operations and the production of the concentrator, the deposits for storing large quantities of raw ore are called ore reserves; for uniform ore chemistry Mineral deposits that need to be blended and mixed with ingredients or physical properties are commonly referred to as ore deposits and mineral deposits.
B Intermediate Mines Intermediate mines are mines that store intermediate products. In order to adjust the imbalance of the instantaneous yield of the upper and lower equipment of the production series, a buffer mine bin can be set; the mine bins which are set up from single series (sets) to multi-series (sets) are called distribution bins; in order to regulate mining and transportation The production between the coarse crushing operation of the operation or the concentrator and the pre-selected or fine crushing operation is uneven, and the intermediate storage bin with a large storage amount of minerals may be set; the grinding bin functions as a distribution bin and an intermediate storage bin.
C Product Mines The main products of the concentrator are concentrates; some concentrators produce coarser products that have not been processed by mills. These products are commonly known as finished minerals. In addition to adjusting the contradiction between the production of the ore dressing plant and the product shipment, the product mine bin also has the functions of loading and shipping.
D Waste stone silo The ore dressing plant often selects coarse-grained waste rock in the pre-selection operation. In order to ensure the normal production of the main operation, it is also necessary to set up a waste rock buffer or a waste rock loading bin.
(II) Main structure type of storage silo A underground mine silo The ore is stored in this mine silo below the ground, called underground mine silo. A cross section of an example thereof is shown in Fig. 1.


B Semi-underground mining silo Semi-underground mining silo with its silo wall buried below the ground and some ore stacked above the ground. A cross section of an example of a semi-underground tank is shown in Figure 2.

Semi-underground mining bins should not store ore with a particle size greater than 350 mm or less than 10 mm. When the ore contains mud and is relatively moist, it is even more difficult to use this type of mine.
Semi-underground silos are easily blocked by ore and are not easy to clean, so they have gradually been replaced by ground-type mines in recent years. Only when the local conditions are suitable, when the foundation is a hard rock, and the stored ore is relatively dry, the semi-underground construction of the building may be economically reasonable.
C Ground-type mine silo This kind of mine silo has no buried underground wall, so the ore is stacked above the ground. The cross section of the example is shown in Figure 3.

The biggest advantage of the ground type mine bin is the large storage volume and low unit cost. This type of mine bin can be used to mine ore, or it can be scraped with a scraper, so it is easy to clean the discharge port blocked by the ore. When the ore is piled up in the open air (the mine bin does not have a cover), the storage volume of the mine bin can also be increased, but the bulldozer has a small processing capacity and a high operating cost.

D Elevated mining silo The silo wall of this ore storage part is erected in space by a pillar. The longitudinal section of the example is shown in Fig. 4.

Although the unit cost of the elevated mine bin is higher than that of the ground or grab type bin, it is widely used because of its flexible configuration and convenient use.
Elevated mine silos are easily blocked by ore, especially when storing mud, ore or large ore. However, it is possible to set up a large discharge port; or use a vibration discharge machine (with a broken arch) to solve it.
